Marissa is about to start her senior year of high school. Events like this make you realize how fast time can slip by. I met Marissa and her family in college through my now husband (who meet Marissa when she was a baby). They are such a wonderful family and have been such a sweet support for our family through the years! Marissa has grown to be a beautiful and smart young woman with a sincere heart for God! She is a blessing to me and SO many others!

Did I mention that she is beautiful!?!

Senior Girls : Virginia Beach Portrait Photographer :

One of my dearest friends, Stacey, has been a mentor to the girls you’re about to meet. These senior girls met every week with Stacey and through living life together they now have such sweet and faithful friendships. The bitter-sweet part of it all is now they’re all heading off to college. I know Stacey feels honored to be a part of their lives and I can imagine, knowing the kind of woman Stacey is, that these girls have been and will continue to be blessed by her! This session was full of lots of laughter and excitement. So fun!

The girls wanted to do a jumping picture. We should’ve thought of it before they put on their dresses! I couldn’t post the other ones because a few dresses went a little too high.

John + Leah : Virginia Maternity Photographer :

Leah contacted me months ago to schedule and plan for her maternity session. At the time she didn’t know if they were having a boy or a girl. I was excited when I received her email saying they were expecting a baby girl, Avery. Well, her maternity session date came and the weather was wonderful! It was so great to finally meet them both and to share with them in this joyous season. John and Leah have such a fun friendship and an endearing love for each other. It was no surprise, after spending some time with them, that their session was full of so many tender moments and lots of laughter.

Leah and John can really make each other laugh. At one point I had to tell them to stop laughing because they were making me laugh and I couldn’t hold my camera still!

Leah found this cool frame at a thrift store. We had fun playing around with it.

Did I mention it was a beautiful evening?!?!

One of my favorites from their session.

Such a tender moment. (This one got me a little teary eyed.)

So beautiful.

John has such sweet expressions towards Leah.

And he fit in some silly expressions, too.

Love it.
